Paris in the winter time is a lot warmer than Calgary but nowhere near as warm as the south of Spain where we had been the week before. On the first Sunday in January, the Champs-Élysées was closed to traffic. Only bicycles and pedestrians were allowed to use the road. We got there very early in the morning planning to find some wonderful Paris cafe for breakfast. There were a lot of police dressed in black with berets and carrying automatic weapons. Also very different than Calgary.
We found a cafe and had their fixed breakfast, eggs, croissant and coffee. It was all wonderful. Yes, I know. The croissant was not keto but the by the time we had walked along the Champs-Élysées, across the Seine, down to the Eiffel Tower and then back to our hotel, we had walked for hours.
Not many people loose weight while travelling. I do. Mostly careful eating and all that touring, morning and afternoon, are magic for me.
